Jackie Brewer admitted to the The Healthcare Resort of Leawood in July after a decline in function following a hospital stay. Jackie was very motivated to participate in daily physical, occupational, and speech therapy to prepare for a safe return to her ALF in Paola. Jackie improved her walking distance from 90 feet to 359 feet, her ability to stand to perform self-care and leisure tasks from 3 minutes to 10 minutes, and made many other functional gains. Jackie told us on the day she left that “I appreciate Alyssa going above and beyond in many life changing recommendations that have dramatically improved my core strength and ability to walk. It was a pleasure to work with Jackie. We are grateful for the opportunity to help her meet her goals!
